I started with a version of this in 2015, and have iterated it over the years. If you don't have a resume or don't know where to start, here's a copy of mine. In summary, it has proven effective for me, and I hope it will also benefit you.

Why you need a good Resume:

Your resume is like a billboard, people will look you up if it's interesting.

How to use this file:

Literally, start editing as soon as you download it.

1. Change the name to yours within 30 seconds of downloading it so you know now that this is your file.
2. Start adding your experience to the sections, if you don't need a section delete it.
3. Invest 1 hour to make a first draft, and apply for jobs. Every week sit for one hour and update the resume to improve it. Imagine 10 weeks into this how tailored your resume will be.

Effort:

Remember resume is useless if you are not applying for jobs consistently. If you are an immigrant you have to work harder than others, don't judge yourself at least until you apply to 500 different jobs in 60 days or less. (LinkedIn apply -does not count)
